may the FOURTH be with us

We did it! Four years down and a lifetime to go. My Husband is amazing. He’s better than I’ve ever dreamt a husband would be. Our love is rooted, but that doesn’t make marriage easy. As we happily celebrate our fourth anniversary, I can’t help but reflect on this past year and stand in awe on how God has brought us through some difficult times as a couple. With a new career change for my husband, and a new baby added to our growing family, It’s so easy to let careers and even kids become a priority before our relationship with Christ, and our own special covenant with each other. Our communication was dwindling and making us feel like we were on different pages, but most importantly we did not make enough time together. I remember thinking is this what marriage is? Is this what everyone settles for? No! That’s not the kind of relationship I want with my best friend. Yet, we were slowly becoming good room mates. The only thing that will keep our marriage in full oneness is God. The power of Prayer is real! The power of Prayer is even greater with your spouse! Starting this new routine together has fully transformed our marriage and matured my relationship with Jesus. If you have never prayed with your spouse, I encourage you to do so. You won’t regret it! …Now going back to being parents of two sweet energetic little boys, the only thing I wanted for our anniversary was a much needed SPA DAY! We totally splurged on ourselves at the Laniwai Spa located at the Disney Aulani Resort. I loved our couples massage, relaxing in the Jacuzzi, and of course having conversations about our kids, our future, and our KIDS again! I am so thankful for this love that we have, and I never want to take it for granted. Even when he drives me absolutely crazy. I love you my Googly bear. Happy Anniversary.
